    • Canned Vegetables & Tomato Products
    • Peanut Butter (plastic container)
    • Iron Rich Cereal (45% or more of daily value)

    PFC President's Message

“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.” -Anonymous

Greeting and Happy Spring Walnut Acres Families!

There is much excitement involved at Walnut Acres as the end of the school year is just around the bend.  The PFC board members have been busy throughout the year and are now involved in planning for the next school year on all aspects of support and volunteerism.

You’re invited!  The Parent Faculty Club invites you to an informal coffee in Room A-1 (next to the school office) on Thursday morning, April 10th from 7:45am-9am. This is a great opportunity to learn more about volunteering on the PFC and how you can get involved.   If you are not able to attend the coffee because you are heading off to work or have prior commitment please feel free to contact me at president@walnutacrespfc.org.  I, along with the current board members, are happy to answer questions or provide you information about the various board positions available.   All parents have the opportunity to find a place to help within our school and our volunteers are a vital part of Walnut Acres‘ success!

The next PFC meeting is schedule for Tuesday, April 15th at 7pm in the school library.  As I mentioned before, the next two PFC meetings will be an essential part of planning for the next school year.  We will present the proposed 2014-15 PFC Budget, discuss the Jaguar Fund donation and go over the open board positions.  The May PFC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th at 7pm.  I look forward to working together on these important decisions to support Walnut Acres’ success in the coming school year!

What an amazing Auction and special thanks to all of the families who were part of the process.  We are excited to report that through our community’s collective generosity and hard work, the PFC raised $92,000 for our children!

I am truly proud of the wonderful community of Walnut Acres families who so generously share their time and talent, donate and work hard to provide our children enriching experiences and help support Walnut Acres to continue to manage the high standards we want for our kids. Thank you and have a safe and memorable Spring Break!

      Graciously your 2013-14 President,

      Monica Chang
