Communication Monday is our communication with parents done through flyers that come home every other week in your child's backpack.  These flyers highlight activities and events occurring at Walnut Acres and throughout the Mt. Diablo School District and Walnut Creek area  Please note that flyers submitted multiple times for non-Walnut Acres events and activities will not be included beyond the first time so choose your distribution date wisely.

 

If you would like to have your flyer distributed, it must first be approved.  Flyers for events that are occurring at Walnut Acres must be approved by the Walnut Acres principal, Dr. Colleen Dowd.  Flyers for events that are not occurring at Walnut Acres must be approved and stamped by Loreen Joseph at the Mount Diablo School District office.  Her fax number is 689-1649 and her phone number is 682-8000 ext. 4000.  The flyer will not be distributed if it is not approved.

 

Once approved, the flyers should be placed (with initialed or approval stamped copy on top) on the bottom shelf of the office workroom bookcase by 4 pm on the Friday before distribution on the following Monday (see schedule below).

 

Please submit 507 copies. This number includes the youngest children of each family, all teachers plus a few extras. Flyers will be sent home with only the youngest child of every Walnut Acres family. This number is also posted in the copy room of the office.
